Dutch striker Donyell Malen hit a hat-trick as Arsenal U18s beat Reading U18s 4-3 at London Colney today.

Promising schoolboy Reiss Nelson was also on the scoresheet and was impressive throughout.

Attention now turns towards the UEFA Youth League fixture away to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, winger Alex Iwobi is on the bench for the first-team’s Premier League fixture away to Swansea City today, with goalkeeper Matt Macey also amongst the substitutes.

  1. Jeorge, with Iwobi certain to be involved in the senior squad this Wednesday, do you see Adelaide coming straight in the youth squad along with Crowley for the youth return vs Bayern?

    1. If he’s not too tired then I think there’s a good chance Reine-Adelaide will be involved and Crowley probably will be too.

  2. Wouldn’t Willock, Hinds and Mavididi be more likely to come in? Would expect Jeff to be rested altogether, especially as Bayern are proving to be the weakest in the group.
