The Northern Ireland youth international endured frustration with injuries last season, but he made his debut for the U21s against Derby County and also trained with the first-team at Emirates Stadium.
A player who reads the game well and is a committed performer, Jeffcott will hope to become an important player for the U21s this campaign.
