A versatile player, Sweet earned a professional contract after making a significant contribution for Arsenal U18s last season.
Previously mainly used as a midfielder, he was often called upon as a right-sided defender and provided an attacking threat as he made nine assists.
Sweet, who is a product of the Hale End academy, also featured in the U23 Premier League Cup and will now be part of the U21 squad.
An excellent crosser, he has been capped by both England and Wales at youth level.
