Loan report- Akpom assists; Martinez keeps clean sheet

Chuba Akpom played 71 minutes and set up a goal for Ahmed Elmohamady as Hull City beat MK Dons 2-0. Isaac Hayden was an un-used substitute.

Carl Jenkinson played the whole game as West Ham United were beaten 2-0 by Watford.

Emiliano Martinez kept a clean sheet as Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Birmingham City 2-0. Jon Toral was introduced as a 67th minute substitute for Birmingham.

Wojciech Szczesny featured as Roma lost 1-0 to Inter Milan in Serie A.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles played 81 minutes and sent a volley over the crossbar in the second half as Ipswich Town drew 0-0 with Cardiff City.

Gedion Zelalem is on the bench for Rangers against Hibernian today. Updates to follow.

Serge Gnabry, to the surprise of absolutely nobody at all, was left out of the West Bromwich Albion squad for their 3-2 defeat to Leicester City. The winger has yet to start a Premier League game this season despite his clear talent, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger suggested this week that he won’t be recalling the 20-year-old.

Yaya Sanogo wasn’t involved as Ajax thrashed Roda JC 6-0.

Wellington missed Bolton Wanderers’ goalless draw with Preston North End through injury.

  1. Get Gnabry back from WBA Pulis is a joke, he knows nothing about recognizing technical players. Pulis’s idea of a footballer is a footballer that runs a lot, is aggressive and physically big.

  2. Can we all forget about gnabry being recalled. Any loan between premier league clubs is for the season. A player can be sent back due to injury, but there is no way arsenal can recall him.

  3. Plus, it’s good ‘parenting’ from Wenger. We all rate Serge very highly, but the ‘experience’ at WBA will ultimately do him good.
