A Hale End product who was developed as a winger but is now used increasingly often up front, Butler-Oyedeji enjoyed an eventful season during which he gained his first experience of senior football.

Butler-Oyedeji, who possesses much flair, spent the first half of the season with Arsenal and stood out during the Papa John’s Trophy campaign as he scored four goals in four games.

In addition, he travelled with the first-team to Dubai during the mid-season break and was then named on the bench against Newcastle United in the Premier League and Oxford United in the Premier League.

Butler-Oyedeji was subsequently loaned out to Accrington Stanley, for whom he made eleven appearances but was unable to find the net.

Another loan spell could follow for Butler-Oyedeji this season.
