Khari Ranson and Sam Chapman make debuts for Arsenal U18s against Fulham; Brando Bailey-Joseph gets first callup

U16 players Khari Ranson and Sam Chapman have been given their debuts for Arsenal U18s at home to Fulham today.

Goalkeeper Ranson has previously been on the bench for the U18s and has been capped by England at U16 level. Ranson is very much a modern goalkeeper with impressive distribution.

Centre-back Sam Chapman has impressive leadership skills and featured for Arsenal U17s at the Flamengo Adidas Cup in Brazil earlier this season.

Five other schoolboys start, with Theo Julienne, Louis Zecevic-John, Chido Obi-Martin, Ife Ibrahim and U14 prospect Max Dowman all called upon.

There are a further four schoolboys on the bench, including U15 winger Brando Bailey-Joseph, who receives his first callup at this level.

Goalkeeper Owen Asemota is also on the bench along with Andre Annous and Samuel Onyekachkuwu (previously Samuel Chinedu).

Second year scholar Seb Ferdinand captains the side as he makes his return from injury, while recent signing Brayden Clarke also starts.
