Henry Jeffcott has returned to Arsenal after his loan spell with Derby County’s U21 side came to an early end.
Jeffcott, who can play at left-back or centre-back, made eight appearances in Premier League 2 for Derby U21s.
The 20-year-old, who has been capped by Northern Ireland at youth level, had been due to spend the entire season at Derby but his loan has been terminated.
Jeffcott’s return is timely for Arsenal given the lack of options in the U21 squad following Lino Sousa’s departure.
After signing scholarship terms in 2020, Jeffcott progressed to a professional contract with Arsenal in 2022.
Jeffcott has played five times for Arsenal U21s in Premier League 2 and could add to that tally in the second half of the campaign.
