Reuell Walters in line to make senior debut as Arsenal face PSV

Reuell Walters is expected to make his competitive senior debut when Arsenal face PSV in the Champions League tomorrow.

The defender has been an unused substitute on 13 occasions for the first-team, including for the last two games away to Luton Town and Liverpool.

18-year-old Walters could start in Eindhoven in Arsenal’s final Champions League group stage game.

England U19 international Walters signed for Arsenal in 2020 and broke into the U21 squad during his first season as a scholar.

Walters has amassed over 40 appearances for the U21s and has captained the U19s in the UEFA Youth League this season. He has also previously for the first-team in friendlies.

Ethan Nwaneri and Lino Sousa have also been named in the first-team squad for the game against PSV.

  1. Arteta does have faith faith in young players. He has again failed to give opportunities to 3 travelled young stars. I guess most the reserve players and families are fed up with way Arteta treat emerging players. Arsenal will struggle to attract young players due Arteta.
