Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly and Taylor-Hart train with Arsenal first-team; Tomiaysu back in training

Schoolboy midfielders Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly trained with the Arsenal first-team at London Colney today.

Kido Taylor-Hart, who has barely featured for the U21s this season, was also called upon. Catalin Cirjan, Taylor Foran, Zane Monlouis, Joel Ideho, Charles Sagoe Jr and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji were also involved in the session.

First-team defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is also back in training.

    1. May be on the bench but this lot need will need some regular starting action soon – Turner Cedric, Holding, Tomiyasu, Tierney, Vieira, Elneny, Sambi, Smith-Rowe, Marquinhos and may be Nelson if he returns by then?

I also think Arteta might want to put some big guns on the bench just in case.

      1. I wouldn’t have any big guns in the FACup squad personally, if the squad above can’t beat Oxford United then we’re in trouble, I’d rather see youngsters on the bench because for me the absolute priority this season is focusing on the Premier League over and above everything else.

  1. I think the club must start looking at some sales soon, a cash injection would be nice.

Runarrson, Cedric, Holding, Mari, Tavares, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, M.Smith, Pepe, Moller, John-Jules

There is an x1 of which only 3 are currently in the first team, barring Elneny, none would need replacing. For now Walters can cover Cedric and i would use Tomiyasu to cover Holding plus recall Trusty and Rekik or Harry Clarke.

    1. One massive problem with that… no-one is paying for any of those. Will be lucky to get £10m for the whole group.

    2. I’m afraid that for this buck we could have 20M for Pepe, 10-10M for Holding and Tavares, and maybe 5M for AMN. The rest could walk for free or about 1M. Well, 45M is not nothing, but I wouldn’t sell Holding, as he is perfect for a #4 CB.
