Luigi Gaspar has confirmed that he will leave Arsenal when his scholarship contract expires at the end of June.
Gaspar, the son of the club’s technical director Edu, joined Arsenal from Corinthians in 2019 and signed scholarship terms the following year.
In a message on Instagram the 18-year-old said that it was his decision to leave the club.
Unfortunately for the midfielder, much of his time as an U18 player was spent out injured.
Known for making crunching challenges with regularity, Gaspar made 12 appearances in total for the U18s, with seven of them coming this season.
In addition he featured once for the U23s as a substitute against West Ham United at the end of last season.
