The Arsenal first-team beat Brentford B 4-1 in a friendly at London Colney today, with youngsters Charles Sagoe Jr and Bradley Ibrahim both involved with the senior squad for the first time.

Alexandre Lacazette scored a hat-trick, with Rob Holding also getting on the scoresheet.

There were starts for Miguel Azeez, Charlie Patino, Zak Swanson and Mazeed Ogungbo.

Lino Sousa, Joel Ideho Jonathan Dinzeyi and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji also received their first senior callups. Ideho, Mika Biereth and Mauro Bandeira all featured as substitutes.

Eddie Nketiah was lively early on and had a shot saved, with Holding then heading wide following a corner.

Lacazette put Arsenal in the lead with a deflected effort after good work from Nketiah.

Arsenal added to their lead after the break, with Lacazette converting the rebound after Nketiah’s initial effort was pushed away by Ben Winterbottom.

Subsequently, Lacazette completed his hat-trick with an effort from distance before a header from Holding made it 4-0.

Brentford got a consolation through Julian Jeanvier, who headed in from Alex Gilbert’s free-kick.
