Arsenal defender Zane Monlouis back in training after injury

Highly rated defender Zane Monlouis has returned to training following a spell out injured.

The centre-back hasn’t played since November 6th but he is now back in training with Arsenal’s U18 squad as he looks to build up his sharpness.

Monlouis, 18, is likely to go back into the U23 squad when he is fully fit, although there is intense competition for places in defence in Kevin Betsy’s team.

Zach Awe has progressed well while Monlouis has been out, while the likes of Alex Kirk and Mazeed Ogungbo have also received plenty of playing time at U23 level and Omar Rekik should be back available soon.

Monlouis has already made 21 appearances for Arsenal U23s having broken into the team last season.
