Arsenal have given a trial to former Queens Park Rangers youngster Kayden Harrack, who can play at centre-back or in midfield.
The 16-year-old, who is also being tracked by West Ham United, will be assessed by Arsenal coaches next week.
Arsenal have a host of centre-backs at first-team and U23 level, while they also have various options in that department in the U18s.
Alex Kirk and Mazeed Ogungbo have trained with the U23s recently, Jason Sraha is looking to earn a professional contract, while Zane Monlouis, Zach Awe and Taylor Foran recently signed scholarship terms.
Arsenal also have lots of young midfielders so Harrack will have to impress significantly to earn a contract.
