Chelsea went into this game with feint title aspirations of their own, but it was Arsenal, after a low-key opening, who took the lead, with the prolific Balogun opening the scoring in the 25th minute. It was the striker’s 14th goal in 13 league games at this level this season.
Arsenal proceeded to score their second goal just after half-time, with Tyreece John-Jules getting on the scoresheet following impressive work from Zak Swanson.
Sam Greenwood effectively secured the win for the young Gunners just before the hour mark when he finished well after being teed up by Balogun.
Musah and Azeez both received runouts in the closing stages as Arsenal saw out the game and got their seventh league victory in succession.
Arsenal are now four points clear of their closest challengers Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the table, but their rivals have two games in hand in an intriguing title race.
