Arsenal took the lead in the 13th minute, with Sam Greenwood continuing his fine form by finding the net.

Swansea equalised before half-time, however, as Eidur Gudjohnsen’s half-brother Arnor scored.

In the second half Arsenal, and specifically Smith, dominated the game, with the midfielder scoring twice to secure the win.

Smith’s second goal, which was scored in stoppage time, was set up by schoolboy Miguel Azeez, who was making his first appearance at this level this season.

Azeez replaced Harry Clarke at half time after the midfielder went off injured.

Arsenal return to action next weekend when they host Fulham.
