Arsenal held their final first-team training session today ahead of tomorrow night’s Carabao Cup quarter-final at home to West Ham United, with a host of youngsters in attendance.

Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock, Josh Dasilva, Ben Sheaf, Eddie Nketiah, Matt Macey and Joao Virginia trained with the squad and could all be involved in some capacity tomorrow, with the exception of the latter.

Chuba Akpom, who scored for the U23s against Derby County on Friday, also trained, as did Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who has recovered from the injury that caused him to be substituted in that fixture.

With regards to senior players, Theo Walcott is back in full training after recovering from injury, but Shkodran Mustafi won’t be involved tomorrow despite playing a full part in the session.

Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla remain out, while several players are likely to be rested ahead of Friday’s Premier League game at home to Liverpool.

Possible team:

Ospina

Debuchy-Chambers-Holding-Kolasinac

Coquelin-Elneny

Walcott-Willock-Welbeck

Giroud

Subs: Macey, Sheaf, Dasilva, Reine-Adelaide, Akpom, Nelson, Nketiah.

  1. JB, Willock is a bit more of a DM than an AM, so wouldn’t it make sense to replace him with Nelson as we’re a bit thin on the creative front with that team?
