Nathan Tormey recovers from injury nightmare to sign professional terms with Arsenal

Talented winger Nathan Tormey has signed his first professional contract with the club. 

The 17-year-old, a graduate of Arsenal’s Hale End academy, saw his first season as a scholar heavily disrupted by injury and he was restricted to just one appearance for the U18s. 

However he is now fully recovered and travelled with the U18s to Germany in pre-season. 

Tormey will hope to be a regular for the U18s this campaign and will also be aiming to break into the U23 squad. 

He follows Joao Virginia and Reiss Nelson in having signed professional terms from the 2016 intake of scholars.
