Luke signed scholarship forms with the club in the summer, having impressed on his reserves debut against Charlton last season. The 16 year-old, who is a loyal Chelsea fan, is comfortable at either centre-half or across the midfield. He is the sort of player that likes to get stuck in and is hard-working as well as agressive. He has trained at Hale End for many years and there are high hopes for his future. However, this season he has been restricted to just one sub appearance at reserve level against Reading and although he has been a regular in the u-18s he has been forced to play in midfield of late due to the development of the Bartley-Cruise partnership at the back.
