Chido Martin Obi scores as Denmark beat Wales at U17 Euros; Brayden Clarke features

The U17 European Championship got underway in Cyprus today, with Arsenal prospect Chido Martin Obi continuing his superb goalscoring form as Denmark won 2-0 against Wales.

Martin Obi opened the scoring just prior to half time as he took the ball around goalkeeper Luis Lines prior to scoring.

Late in the game Martin Obi pushed forward and went for goal but his effort was pushed away by Lines.

In the first half Martin Obi had demonstrated his impressive close control and strength at times. The striker was substituted in the closing stages as a precaution after suffering a slight knock.

Another Arsenal youngster, Brayden Clarke, played the whole game for Wales and made some good interventions. He was booked in the second half.
