46. Stephy Mavididi

Powerful striker Stephy enjoyed a hugely eventful 2014/15 campaign, with his impressive form in front of goal for the U18s leading to him breaking into Arsenal’s U21 squad.

A product of the club’s Hale End academy, Stephy already possessed considerable experience of U18 football going into the season and he put that knowledge to good use as he enjoyed a purple patch in terms of goalscoring at the start of the campaign.

The forward ended the season having scored an impressive 15 goals in 16 appearances for the U18s. In addition, he also scored in the UEFA Youth League and featured on ten occasions for the U21s, scoring his first goal at that level against Stoke City at Emirates Stadium.

This season Stephy, who possesses impressive link-up play, will be seeking to establish himself as the club’s first-choice striker at U21 level.

Having previously been overlooked by the England youth teams, Stephy’s excellent season was rewarded when he received a call-up to represent England U17s at the European Championships for that age group.
