A no-nonsense defender, Ogungbo was a mainstay for Arsenal at U23 level last season.
Although he is also capable of playing at left-back, Ogungbo is now mostly deployed as a centre-back.
Last season the Hale End product was on the bench against Crystal Palace and Southampton in the Premier League.
It is anticipated that the Republic of Ireland youth international could gain experience out on loan this season.
