A skilful player who is a product of Arsenal’s Hale End academy, Roberts initially had to be patient for chances but by the end of his first season as a scholar he had established himself as a key player for the U18s.
The Welsh youth international, who is usually deployed as an attacking midfielder, is excellent technically and he weighed in with three goals.
A Welsh youth international, he made his debut for Arsenal U18s against Reading last season and marked the occasion by providing an assist.
Roberts also provided five assists in four games, while he received his first call-up to the U23s for the game at home to Manchester City.
This season Roberts will be determined to impress as he looks to earn a professional contract.
