Arsenal’s Mazeed Ogungbo joins Kevin Betsy’s Crawley on loan

Arsenal defender Mazeed Ogungbo has joined League Two side Crawley Town on a season-long loan.

Ogungbo’s temporary move sees him reunited with former Arsenal U23s coaches Kevin Betsy and Dan Micciche, who are now at the helm at Crawley.

Capable of performing effectively at centre-back or left-back, Ogungbo has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at U20 level.

Ogungbo has played 29 times for Arsenal’s second-string having previously featured for the U18s on 47 occasions.

Last season he was named on the bench against Crystal Palace and Southampton in the Premier League.
