Mika Biereth has become the latest Arsenal youngster to head out on loan, with the striker set to spend the season at RKC Waalwijk.
Biereth could face his Arsenal team-mate Omar Rekik, who recently joined Sparta Rotterdam on loan.
Signed from Fulham last year, Biereth made a major impact during his first season at Arsenal as he scored eleven goals in 21 games for the U23s, while he also featured in the Papa John’s Trophy.
Biereth was also an unused substitute for the first-team in the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
In addition Biereth, who was born in England, made progress on the international stage as he was called up to represent Denmark at U19 level.
With Tyreece John-Jules having joined Ipswich Town on loan and Nikolaj Moller also set to head out on temporary transfer again, it seems likely that Khayon Edwards will be Arsenal’s main striker at U21 level.
