Report: Stoke interested in signing Harry Clarke on loan from Arsenal with Hibernian deal including break clause option

Stoke City are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal defender Harry Clarke on a season-long loan.

In January Clarke, who can play as a centre-back or a full-back, joined Hibernian on an 18-month loan deal.

However, the deal included a break clause which Arsenal could exercise this summer if they want to send Clarke on loan to another club. There is also another break clause in January.

According to Stoke Sentinel, the Championship side are hoping to bring in the 21-year-old on a temporary basis.

Clarke, who joined Arsenal from Ipswich Town as a schoolboy, has yet to make a competitive senior appearance for the Gunners. He has played eight times for Hibernian so far after enduring an injury-hit start to his loan.
