Arsenal youngster Elian Quesada-Thorn ruled out for rest of season with stress fracture in his back

Arsenal youngster Elian Quesada-Thorn will miss the rest of the season after suffering a stress fracture in his back.

The 17-year-old, who usually plays as a left wing-back or a winger, missed Arsenal U18s’ games against Aston Villa and Birmingham City and it has now emerged that he won’t play again this campaign.

A player with impressive crossing ability, Quesada-Thorn has made eight appearances for the U18s this season and provided an assist against Chelsea. In addition he was an unused substitute for the U23s in their draw with Leicester City last month.

Quesada-Thorn also made his debut for Costa Rica at U20 level earlier this campaign when he featured against Mexico.

In addition to Quesada-Thorn, striker Khayon Edwards will also not be available for the rest of the season because of injury.

  1. Good to Luke plange get an England u20 call up. Not many youngsters who are let go, go on to better themselves, now he will be a £1m premier League player next season and in the international scene. Well done young man.
