Centre-back Zach Awe has received his first senior call-up for Arsenal.
The defender, a product of the club’s Hale End academy, is on the bench for tonight’s Premier League game away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
A tall player who is composed in possession, Awe is effective at playing the ball out from the back.
Previously capped by England at youth level, he has recently established himself in the Arsenal U23 side and has made five appearances at that level this season, scoring once.
The 18-year-old, who is also capable of playing in midfield if required, makes some costly mistakes at times but has a lot of potential.
Another 18-year-old, Hubert Graczyk, travelled with the squad to Molineux as third choice goalkeeper.
