Arsenal U23s goalkeeper Karl Hein has joined Championship side Reading on loan for the rest of the season.
Hein, who already possesses some experience of senior football having been capped by Estonia on 12 occasions, is heading out on loan for the first time.
The 19-year-old recently returned from a spell out injured and was on the bench for the first-team against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.
Hein has developed well since joining Arsenal from Nomme United in 2018 and has made 28 appearances for the U23s/U21s.
Arsenal have plenty of other young goalkeepers to cope in Hein’s absence. Arthur Okonkwo occasionally plays for the U23s despite being part of the first-team squad, while Ovie Ejeheri, Hubert Graczyk and James Hillson are also available.
