Arsenal have offered a scholarship deal to Josh Nichols ahead of next season.
The defender, who can play at right-back or left-back, is currently part of Arsenal’s U16 squad.
It is expected that it will soon be revealed which other players from the U16 team have been offered the chance to continue their development at the club.
Goalkeepers Alexei Rojas and Brian Okonkwo are in contention, with the former having already trained with the first-team.
Striker Omari Benjamin and midfielder Michal Rosiak have both been on the bench for the U18s, while winger Seb Ferdinand has impressed for the U17s.
Other players under consideration include Luis Brown, Max Jolliffe, Louie Copley, Stanley Skipper, Coby Small, Harrison Dudziak, Ismael Kabia, Romari Forde and Kamarni Ryan.
