Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein is set to be out of action for up to two months because of injury.
The prospect suffered an injury in the closing stages of the U23s’ enthralling 3-3 draw with Leicester City last weekend.
Hein had to be substituted, with striker Mika Biereth going in goal as Arsenal had already used all three of their substitutes.
The 19-year-old subsequently withdrew from the Estonia squad and is now facing a spell on the sidelines.
This news comes as a blow for Hein and could scupper any plans for him to go on loan in January.
Hein has made excellent progress this season and has been on the bench in the Premier League as he competes with Arthur Okonkwo to be the club’s third-choice goalkeeper.
Second year scholar Remy Mitchell is starting in goal for the U23s tonight as he makes his debut at this level.
