Talented forward Omari Benjamin impressing for Arsenal U16s

Arsenal haven’t fielded any schoolboys at U18 level so far this season as they have a rather large squad, but there are some talented prospects who are impressing for the U16s.

One such player is Omari Benjamin, with the forward having got on the scoresheet for the U16s against West Ham United at the weekend.

Possessing excellent technique, Benjamin is capable of holding up play very well and is somewhat similar to U18s regular Khayon Edwards in playing style.

Benjamin is making impressive progress on the international stage too having recently represented Wales at U17 level, for whom he scored against Scotland.

The youngster is striving to earn a scholarship at Arsenal ahead of next season and will hope to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Edwards in stepping up seamlessly from the U16s to the U18s.
