Arsenal goalkeeper Deyan Iliev returns to Sered on season-long loan

Arsenal goalkeeper Deyan Iliev has rejoined Slovakian side Sered on loan for the season.

The deal is set to take the 26-year-old to the end of his contract with the Gunners, meaning it is unlikely that he will play for the club again.

Iliev enjoyed his most productive loan spell so far with Sered in the 2019/20 campaign as he made 18 appearances.

Since then the Macedonian shot-stopper has had spells with Jagiellonia Bialystok and Shrewsbury Town.

Iliev was on the bench for Arsenal for the Europa League final against Chelsea in 2019 but hasn’t made a competitive first-team appearance since he joined the club in 2012.

  1. Interesting comment you made regarding Harrison Parker, if a tad disappointing Jeorge, but what do you make of the movement of young players between academies these days as it seems to be getting as fluid as the market for more established players. Has it really increased in recent years Jeorge or is it just getting more coverage in these social media times?
