Loan report – Willock scores yet again; Mavropanos goes off injured; Saliba and Maitland-Niles in action

Joe Willock continued his hugely impressive goalscoring form as he found the net for the fifth time in as many games in Newcastle United’s 4-3 loss to Manchester City. Willock, who played the whole game, missed a penalty in the 62nd minute but managed to score the rebound.

William Saliba played the whole game and was booked as Nice lost 2-0 to Strasbourg.

Joseph Olowu played the full game as Wealdstone drew 0-0 with Chesterfield.

Konstantinos Mavropanos played 34 minutes as Stuttgart won 2-1 against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles was brought on in the 73rd minute as West Bromwich Albion lost 2-1 to Liverpool.

Lucas Torreira was an unused substitute as Atletico Madrid won 2-1 against Osasuna.

Zech Medley was an unused substitute as Kilmarnock won 2-0 against Hamilton Academical. Kilmarnock will now face Dundee in the play-offs as they look to stay in the top flight.

Sead Kolasinac missed out through suspension as Schalke won 4-3 against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Injury meant that Matteo Guendouzi wasn’t involved in Hertha Berlin’s goalless draw with Cologne. The result means that Hertha are safe from relegation.

Daniel Ballard‘s Blackpool weren’t in action this weekend. They face Oxford United this week in the League One play-off semi-finals.
