Loan report – Willock scores; Maitland-Niles wins penalty; McGuinness helps Ipswich keep clean sheet

Joe Willock continued his incredible scoring run as he came off the bench to find the net for Newcastle United in their 1-1 draw away to Liverpool.

Willock was brought on in the 64th minute and scored in the fifth minute of added time.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles played 86 minutes and won a penalty as West Bromwich Albion drew 2-2 with Aston Villa.

William Saliba played the whole game as Nice won 3-1 against Montpellier.

Konstantinos Mavropanos played the entirety of Stuttgart’s 2-0 loss to RB Leipzig.

Daniel Ballard played 90 minutes as Blackpool were beaten 1-0 by Shrewsbury Town.

Tyreece John-Jules started and played 63 minutes in Doncaster Rovers’ 1-0 loss to Fleetwood Town.

Harry Clarke played the full match as Oldham Athletic lost 2-1 to Grimsby Town. Clarke was again deployed as a right wing-back.

Mark McGuinness has worked his way back into the Ipswich Town starting lineup in recent weeks and helped his loan side to keep a clean sheet in their goalless draw with AFC Wimbledon.

Lucas Torreira came on in the 64th minute and was booked as Atletico Madrid lost 2-1 to Athletic Bilbao.

Jordi Osei-Tutu was brought on at the start of the second half as Cardiff City beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-1.

Joseph Olowu played 90 minutes as Wealdstone lost 2-0 to Aldershot.

James Olayinka was an unused substitute as Southend United won 2-1 against Leyton Orient.

Zech Medley‘s Kilmarnock take on St Mirren tonight in the Scottish Cup.

Ben Sheaf missed out through injury as Coventry City lost 1-0 to Preston North End.

Matt Smith wasn’t involved as Charlton Athletic lost 1-0 to Peterborough United.

The following players teams’ weren’t in action this weekend: Matteo Guendouzi (Hertha Berlin) and Sead Kolasinac (Schalke).
