Loan report – Ballard scores; Guendouzi gets assist

Daniel Ballard scored and played 90 minutes in Blackpool’s 2-0 victory against Oxford United.

Matteo Guendouzi played the whole game and set up a goal as Hertha Berlin beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-0.

Sead Kolasinac played the full game as Schalke lost 3-0 to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Konstantinos Mavropanos played the entirety of Stuttgart’s 4-0 loss to Bayern Munich.

Harry Clarke played the whole game as Oldham Athletic drew 0-0 with Bradford City.

Zech Medley played the whole of Kilmarnock’s 4-1 win against Motherwell.

Joe Willock started and played 62 minutes as Newcastle United lost 3-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Ben Sheaf was brought on in the 82nd minute as Coventry City drew 0-0 with Wycombe Wanderers.

Mark McGuinness was an unused substitute as Ipswich Town lost 2-1 to Portsmouth.

Lucas Torreira was an unused substitute as Atletico Madrid won 1-0 against Alaves.

William Saliba missed Nice’s 3-0 win against Marseille after testing positive for coronavirus.

Matt Smith wasn’t involved as Charlton Athletic drew 2-2 with AFC Wimbledon.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles‘ West Bromwich Albion weren’t in action this weekend.

The following players weren’t involved due to injury: Tyreece John-Jules (Doncaster Rovers), James Olayinka (Southend United), Joseph Olowu (Wealdstone) and Jordi Osei-Tutu (Cardiff City).

    I think I’m right in saying that the club twice let Danny Ballard go at the 15/16 level he carried on training at the club and made a good impression .
    Players with his spirit a bit like Calum Chambers now . Adams / Keown type people won’t let you down and think he should be given a chance in the first team squad

    1. Yes that’s correct. He’s got a great attitude. Would like to see him get a chance in the First team but will be difficult with the amount of centre backs we have.
