Arsenal U23s midfielder Ben Cottrell ruled out for rest of the season with injury

Arsenal midfielder Ben Cottrell has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.

The 19-year-old had played every minute in the league for the U23s this season until an injury prevented him from featuring in the 2-2 draw with Southampton.

Cottrell will now miss the six remaining U23 games this season and will hope to be fit in time for pre-season.

This has been a memorable campaign for Cottrell, who made his first-team debut away to Dundalk.

Arsenal U23s have a lengthy injury list at present, with the likes of Salah-Eddine, Zak Swanson, Jordan McEneff and Omar Rekik all sidelined.
