U18 Premier League
West Bromwich Albion 1 (Ohaha 7) Arsenal 3 (Plange 30, 63, Sousa 31 (o.g.))
Arsenal U18s came from behind to beat West Bromwich Albion today, with Luke Plange scoring twice.
Coach Ken Gillard was without Taylor Foran and Kido Taylor-Hart, who were with the U23s, with Henry Jeffcott and James Sweet drafted in for their first starts of the season. Omari Hutchinson was deployed at left-back.
West Brom got off to a good start, with Sam Ohaha putting them in the lead after seven minutes.
They weren’t laughing for long, however, with Arsenal equalising through Plange on the half hour mark before an own goal from Lino Sousa saw the young Gunners go in front.
Plange added another in the second half after being set up by Mauro Bandeira, with Arsenal returning to winning ways after two successive defeats.
There was another positive moment for Arsenal in the closing stages, with winger Nathan Butler-Oyedeji marking his return from injury by featuring as a substitute.
Arsenal: Graczyk; Norton-Cuffy, Awe, Jeffcott, Hutchinson (Monlouis, 57); Patino, Bandeira; Edwards, Sweet (Henry-Francis, 65), Flores (Butler-Oyedeji, 75); Plange. Subs not used: Ejeheri, Sagoe Jr.
