Ryan Alebiosu still awaiting Arsenal’s decision on professional contract

Second year scholar Ryan Alebiosu has yet to find out whether he will be awarded a professional contract by Arsenal.

Alebiosu’s scholarship deal is set to run out at the end of June and the 18-year-old, who can play at right-back or on the right wing, is eager to impress in the remainder of the season as he seeks to earn an extended stay.

Having been on the fringes of the U18 side last season, Alebiosu has featured much more prominently at that level this season and has also made his U23 debut and played in the FA Youth Cup but is currently out injured.

Matthew Dennis, who can also play at right-back or as a winger, and forward Alfie Matthews are the other remaining second year scholars.
