Freddie Ljungberg held his first training session as Arsenal’s interim head coach today.
Ljungberg drafted in Robbie Burton and Tyreece John-Jules for the session, both of whom he worked with last season when he was Arsenal’s U23 coach.
Emile Smith Rowe and Konstantinos Mavropanos, who played for the U23s versus Villarreal this week, were also involved along with Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who was left out of the squad to face Eintracht Frankfurt.
Rob Holding and Sead Kolasinac aren’t yet fully fit but still took part in the session along with Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette, Reiss Nelson, Nicolas Pepe and Lucas Torreira.
Dani Ceballos, Hector Bellerin, David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi are injured.
