Arsenal secured their third victory of pre-season as they beat Fiorentina 3-0, with two of the club’s talented youngsters amongst the goals.
Eddie Nketiah, who also scored against Bayern Munich, hit a brace, while substitute Joe Willock also scored with a composed finish.
Nketiah impressed with his work-rate and movement, while Reiss Nelson also started but wasn’t able to have much of an impact on the game overall.
Robbie Burton and James Olayinka were provided with further chances at the base of the midfield, with the latter showing some impressive touches, although the duo didn’t provide much protection to the defence.
Bukayo Saka, meanwhile, also started and showed some glimpses of his quality with some fine passes, including one into the path of Sead Kolasinac in the buildup to Nketiah’s first goal.
In the closing stages Zech Medley, Dominic Thompson and Gabriel Martinelli were all brought on, with the latter missing an inviting opportunity to score following a fine run.
