Nelson scores on U21 debut; Nketiah, Willock and John-Jules also score for England youth sides


It was a significant day for Arsenal’s many youngsters representing England at various youth level.

Following on from Emile Smith Rowe finding the net for England U19s, Reiss Nelson scored with an audacious flick after coming on as a substitute for his England U21 debut in the 7-0 thrashing of Andorra.

In addition, Eddie Nketiah, who trained with the senior squad yesterday, and Joe Willock were both on target for England U20s in their 2-1 win over Italy.

At U18 level, meanwhile, Tyreece John-Jules was on target in a 4-0 win over Sweden, with his Arsenal team-mates Bukayo Saka and Sam Greenwood also featuring.

Daniel Ballard scored the winner as Northern Ireland beat Austria 1-0.
