Vlad Dragomir is likely to sign for French club Monaco on a free transfer despite his agent’s claims that the midfielder is still in talks with Arsenal over a new deal.
The versatile Romanian youngster will officially become a free agent on Sunday as he has yet to accept Arsenal’s offer of a new contract.
Arsenal included Dragomir on a list of released players published on their official website today but the player’s representative told the Romanian press that talks are still ongoing.
However, a move to Monaco seems likely for Dragomir, who was a mainstay of the Arsenal U23 side that won the Premier League 2 title last season.
A player who is excellent technically, Dragomir joined Arsenal three years ago but his only involvement in a first-team game was when he was an unused substitute away to BATE Borisov in the Europa League last season.
Dragomir, having previously struggled for consistency, produced some excellent performances for Arsenal U23s last season, and scored six goals in 20 games.
