Hamstring injury could prevent Arsenal’s Bielik from going on loan

Arsenal defender Krystian Bielik’s hopes of going on loan in this month’s transfer window have been put under threat after he was ruled out for three to five weeks with a hamstring problem.

Bielik recently returned to action after recovering from a dislocated shoulder that prevented him from going on loan in the summer transfer window.

The Polish youth international impressed on loan at Birmingham City in the second half of last season but has been pushed further down the pecking order following the arrival of Konstantinos Mavropanos.

  1. Again I cannot understand why AFC stubbornly tries to convert a magnificent DM at 15 years old into a mediocre centre half.
With Coquelin Gone, the only pure DM left in the squad is Elnany and even so for Egypt he plays slightly further up the pitch.
We should let Bielik, Joe Willock, Ben Sheaf and Shane McGuane play at their natural position and see which one make it.
I know that AMN see himself as a DM, but in my view he is a wide Midfield or winger.
Instead of converting players or letting them delude themselves that they can play in a different position (a la Walcott, never a striker), let use square pegs into square holes.
