John-Jules hits brace as Arsenal U18s beat Wolves in Premier League Cup


Arsenal U18s returned to action today in the Premier League Cup, with Kwame Ampadu’s side overcoming Wolverhampton Wanderers with a 4-2 victory at London Colney.

The young Gunners lost their previous game in this competition away to Manchester United but got off to a flying start on this occasion and established a four-goal lead prior to the interval.

Tyreece John-Jules scored a brace, with Folarin Balogun and Harry Clarke also getting on the scoresheet.

Wolves attempted to stage a comeback in the second half and managed to score twice but there was no repeat of Arsenal’s capitulation against United as the game ended 4-2 to Ampadu’s side.

Arsenal’s next game in this tournament is away to Stoke City in December.

Arsenal: Virginia; Clarke, Ballard, Medley, Thompson; Omole, Benson; Saka, John-Jules, Smith Rowe; Balogun.
