  1. Jeorge, considering the lack of activity on the pitch, that many of our loanees are currently experiencing, where do you stand on the benefits or not, of the loan system to Arsenal and would a few of our loanees have been better off staying at Arsenal..?

    1. I think we had to loan quite a few players as we have so many players in the first-team and U23s but I feel that more research needs to be done into the playing styles of the teams we are sending players on loan to and there needs to be some suggestion that players will be used regularly other there is no benefit.

  2. I do not understand why we do not put financial penalty for not playing our young loanees. They are sent to get some first team experience. To not even make the bench like Bramall at Birmingham is ridiculous. Clearly Redknapp just wanted Jenkinson. So either AFC coerced him on taking Bramall (no Bramall no Jenkinson) or Bramall genuinely disappointed. That then leads to the question; Had he even seen Bramall play before? Same thing with Redknapp’s replacement who does not seems much better at judging players.
Chelsea has such clauses for their players on loan. For youngsters it gives them experience. For others it put them in the shop window.
Also there should be clause that states that if a player does not play a X percentage of game, then the loan will be recalled. The implied consequence should also be that the club will not be considered for a year for any loan. Obviously if the fault lies with loanees that can be revised.
Case in point was Kerrea Gilbert who is now charged with sexual assault. At Leicester, he was deemed rude, disruptive and unmanageable.

  3. when more than one club wants to take a player on loan Arsenal leave the final decision on which club to join with the player. Also if only one club in for a player, the decision to take the offer is also left up to the player. Mavadidi had the choice of four clubs, including going back to Charlton, but he chose PNE as they impressed him the most.
