Joe Willock scored a brace and substitute Yassin Fortune was also on the scoresheet as Arsenal U18s beat their Manchester United counterparts 3-0 away today to enhance their chances of winning the league.
The young Gunners have enjoyed some impressive results of late, beating the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City, and they were in inspired form again on this occasion.
Coach Kwame Ampadu again named an extremely strong starting line-up and made just a single alteration to the side with Eddie Nketiah replacing Fortune.
Arsenal started impressively and opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Willock, who has been excellent over the past few months but has yet to commit to a professional contract, finished well after being teed up by Jordi Osei-Tutu.
Willock would go on to double his tally in the 74th minute before Fortune, on as a substitute, added extra gloss to the scoreline as he made it 3-0 in extra time.
Arsenal have games away to Chelsea and at home to West Ham United to come and if they win those they will finish top of the play off section.
