Arsenal’s youngsters were knocked out of the Future Cup today after they were beaten 4-1 by Bayern Munich.

Having lost to Anderlecht and beaten Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal knew that they had to at least avoid defeat in this fixture in order to stand a chance of progressing to the latter stages.

Subs: Barden, Amaechi, Olayinka, Spencer-Adams, Mussah, Balogun, Matthews

However, once again Arsenal were vulnerable defensively, with full-backs Vontae Daley-Campbell and Dominic Thompson especially culpable.

Bayern were impressive going forwards and established a four goal lead before schoolboy Folarin Balogun scored a late consolation for Arsenal.

Arsenal, who won the competition last year, will face Benfica tomorrow in the 5th/6th place play-off.
