Talented winger Reiss Nelson has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal.
The England youth international, who turns 17 today, is widely seen as being one of the Gunners’ standout young talents and is already established as a key player for Arsenal’s U23 side.
Nelson has also gained valuable experience playing in the UEFA Youth League and for the U18s, while he has trained with the first-team on several occasions and is highly rated by manager Arsene Wenger.
The starlet becomes the second member of this year’s scholarship intake to sign professional terms after goalkeeper Joao Virginia did so earlier in the campaign.
With regards to the club’s remaining second-year scholars, Nathan Tella and Kostas Pileas will have meetings shortly to discover whether they will receive a professional deal.
