Arsenal’s Dan Crowley joins Go Ahead Eagles on trial ahead of possible loan move

Arsenal midfielder Dan Crowley is on trial at Go Ahead Eagles ahead of a possible loan move.

If the trial is successful then Crowley, whose temporary spell with Oxford United was cut short today, will spend the rest of the season with the Eredivisie side.

The 19-year-old, who has yet to make a senior competitive appearance for Arsenal, is eager to get his career back on track after he also had a frustrating experience on loan at Barnsley last season.

Several Arsenal youngsters are in Holland this season- Kelechi Nwakali and Stefan O’Connor are with Maastricht- while Tafari Moore is on loan at Utrecht as academy manager Andries Jonker makes good use of his connections in Dutch football.

Crowley joined Arsenal amidst much hype in 2013 and has produced some superb performances at youth level but has so far found the adaptation to senior football rather difficult.

  1. I find it unbelievable that a player like Crowley is struggling to get playing time. Do you think it’s because he’s not going to suitable clubs? Jack Wilshere with goals he was described as. I hope he finds a club where the coach will help him progress.
