Loan report- Wilshere faces Chambers, Asano scores, Toral takes on Barcelona

Takuma Asano played 77 minutes and scored his first goal for Stuttgart in the 3-1 victory over Karlsruher.

Calum Chambers and Jack Wilshere both played 90 minutes for their respective loan sides as Middlesbrough beat Bournemouth 2-0. Chambers produced an impressive performance at the heart of the Middlesbrough defence, whilst Wilshere was involved in some slick passing moves for Bournemouth.

Wojciech Szczesny played the whole game and kept a clean sheet as Roma drew 0-0 with Empoli.

Joel Campbell featured as a 64th minute substitute as Sporting Lisbon drew 0-0 with Nacional.

Dan Crowley played the whole game as Oxford United lost 2-1 to Millwall.

It was an unhappy homecoming for Jon Toral as the midfielder played 77 minutes and was booked during Granada’s 1-0 defeat away to Barcelona.

Kelechi Nwakali made his first start for Maastricht and played 77 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Volendam. Stefan O’Connor wasn’t involved.

Tafari Moore came on as a substitute in the 77th minute and was booked as Utrecht II lost 1-0 to Den Bosch.

Glen Kamara was an un-used substitute as Colchester United lost 2-1 to Plymouth Argyle.

Ryan Huddart was an un-used substitute as Eastleigh were beaten 4-0 by Barrow.

Julio Pleguezuelo wasn’t involved as Mallorca drew 0-0 with Gimnastic Tarragona.
